Terms & Conditions 

Please read our terms and conditions before purchasing a ticket to this event. 

 

TICKETS


By buying a ticket you agree to the following:

 

  1. Ticket passes (i.e.Podling Pass, Gelfling Pass etc) are per person and need to be in the correct name. We may ask to see ID upon entry. 

  2. All Ticket passes and ‘add-on’ sales are non refundable or transferable. Thames Con do not issue refunds under any circumstances unless the event itself is Cancelled. 

  3. If the event is postponed all ticket passes will be automatically transferred to the new date. 

  4. If the event is cancelled completely and no new date is given, all ticket passes will be automatically refunded. You do not need to contact us to ask for a refund in this instance. Refunds may take up to 14 days. 

  5. Thames Con do not take responsibility for any missed activities due to not being present for the full duration of the event. If you have “add on” tickets for an activity such as a photoshoot.

  6. Guests appear subject to professional and personal commitments, if a guest cancels an appearance and you have purchased a photoshoot with them this will automatically be refunded. If you have purchased a workshop with a guest this will only be refunded if the workshop is cancelled completely. 

  7. Not all guests will appear all days. Please check the website for the latest updates and be aware that sometimes these days can change at the last moment.

  8. Thames Con reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone for any reason what-so-ever, but mainly to include those that cause disturbance or refuse to comply with reasonable requests from the event management team. Any such persons may be removed from the premises.

  9. Thames Con reserve the right to change the opening hours of our shows for operational reasons and are not obliged to offer any refund or other form of compensation if we do so.

  10. Thames Con reserves the right to refuse ticket sales to any party deemed to be in breach of the terms and conditions or Thames Con's policies and procedures.

FOOD AND DRINK

  1. No food or drink including alcohol to be brought onto site with the exclusion of a bottle of water. Free tap water will be available to top up your bottle and other hot and cold beverages will be available to purchase at the event. 

  2. If you have a medical condition that requires you to carry certain food items, please email admin@thamescon.com

PARTY​

  1. Special Guest performances/appearances are subject to availability and commitments.

  2. Live music will make up a portion of the Party alongside, live performances and Recorded music/DJ sets. 

  3. No food or drink including alcohol to be brought onto site. Anyone found to have alcohol on their person will be refused entry or removed from the event as this can potentially void the venue's Liquor Licence. Free self service tap water will be available all evening as well as a great selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages including themed cocktails. 

  4. Party opening/closing times are subject to minor changes (+/- 30 minutes) 

  5. Attendee Photography/Videography - Photography is permitted for the whole party, if you are taking photos of attendees in costumes we recommend asking their permission. We ask that you do not video any of the live performances on stage throughout the evening. 

  6. Thames Con Photography/Videography- Throughout the evening our professional media Team (wearing Thames Con T-Shirts) will be capturing the event, If you do not want to be filmed or photographed please make a member of the Thames Con team aware. 

  7. Dress Code- There is no set dress code for this event. 
     

CARERS

Carers passes must be purchased alongside a full paying adult or Child pass. Please email carers evidence to admin@thamescon.com at least a week before the event date. This can include but not limited to a GP note, a carer's allowance letter, a PIP letter etc.

PHOTOGRAPHY/VIDEOGRAPHY 

  1. Throughout the event our professional media Team (wearing Thames Con T-Shirts) will be capturing the event, If you do not want to be filmed or photographed please make a member of the Thames Con team aware. 

  2. Photography is permitted throughout the whole event, if you are taking photos of attendees in costumes please ask their permission first.

  3. We ask that you do not video any Talks/activities or workshops. 

  4. Unless you have paid for a professional photoshoot or selfie, please do not take photos of any of the VIP special Guests.

COMPLAINTS

If you have a complaint or concern about the event please email info@thamescon.co.uk If the complaint is regarding an event you have attended, please email us within 14 days of the event date.

BULLY AND HARASSMENT 
We have a ZERO tolerance policy for any type of bullying or harassment towards any attendee, VIP guest, Exhibitor, staff or volunteers. This may include, but is not limited to, offensive jokes, slurs, epithets or name calling, physical assaults or threats, intimidation, ridicule or mockery, insults or put-downs, offensive objects or pictures, and interference with any work performance. If you are seen to be breaching this policy or acting in a way that we deem inappropriate you will be asked to leave the event and banned from all future Thames Con events.

GDPR 

  1. Personal data (email address) is collected when an individual ‘signs up’ to our Newsletter. By inputting your email address and clicking ‘submit’ or ‘sign up’ you are granting Thames Con permission to store your email address and email you Newsletter updates. Your email address is stored on the WIX server which is double password protected. Individuals can ‘opt out’ of receiving these emails at any time. 

  2. Personal data is collected when a ticket pass purchase is made. This information is stored on the TicketTailor server and is double password protected. This information may be used to check attendees identity and to contact attendees with useful information. 

  3. We will never share your personal information with any third parties.

COVID 
Thames Con follows the current government guidelines and restrictions that pertain to pandemics and the control/spread of diseases. There are currently no restrictions in place but attendees are welcome to wear a face covering if they would like/need to. Hand sanitizer will be available on the information desk and the venue has hand washing facilities.
